Quintessentially English perfumery, bath and body brand Yardley London, renowned for capturing the delicate fragrance of English flowers since 1770, is delighted to introduce ‘English Dahlia’, a sensual green floral Chypre, as the latest addition to the Contemporary Classics Floral Fragrance Collection.

The autumn season will see a trend in fragrance towards the scent of opulent flowers that exude voluptuousness, with their precious notes showcased with exquisite sophistication.

The esteemed perfumer Pierre-Constantin Gueros and his love of the English garden led him to take inspiration from this visually bold and opulent flower, so creating a powerful multi-facetted, warm and sensual fragrance, perfectly complimenting the existing five core Contemporary Classic Floral fragrances.

English Dahlia delights the senses with its warm and feminine floral bouquet – an elegant and fascinating green floral Chypre, opening with sparkling citrus top notes combining neroli and apple flower, blended with a sensual and feminine heart of dahlia accords, rose and peony and enhanced with a warm base of patchouli, cedar and musk.

Creator of Dahlia, Perfumer Pierre Gueros, comments

“I am a passionate gardener and especially love classical flowers found in many English gardens. What makes this Dahlia accord special is the deep purple facette and the warm woody, almost earthy, impression coming from the Amber and the Patchouli in the background, symbolising the autumn time. Although Dahlia’s do not smell, they are a visually generous and opulent flower - I took inspiration to reflect this by creating a powerful multi-facetted fragrance.”
