For years, talc has been a great source for keeping skin fresh, fragant and dry. Both men and women have traditionally used it after bathing or showering as a luxurious product for drying damp skin, whilst also keeping it scented, fresh and smooth all day long.
Talc is a mineral composed of hydrated magnesium silicate and talcum powder is the loose form of the mineral. Talc was first discovered in the town of Gouverneur, New York by Daniel Minthorn in 1867.
Whilst usually used after bathing or showering, there are loads of other uses for talcum powder, from keeping your home fresh to keeping your dog fresh too! We'll share some ideas with you over the coming days.
We have five talcs in our range – one of the favourites is our English Lavender variant. Yardley London’s signature fragrance is an elegant scent that combines lavender leaves, neroli and clary sage with a heart of lavender oil and geranium, with deeper notes of sandalwood and tonka bean.
Available in the standard 200g size, it retails for £6.99. You can buy it at http://www.yardleylondon.co.uk
